Thankful

For the last couple Sunday's at chuch, Elinore has been going with her big brothers to junior church.  After services, my mom usually goes to collect the kids.  This week after the services they came to find me in the office with this picture Elinore made in junior church.

Sherri (the awesome lady who runs the junior church class) said to make sure they told me about the blue lines Elinore drew on the turkey.  Each line was for someone she was thankful for.  She named them all for Sherri.

And my mama heart explodes with excitement for my girl.

Then I asked Elinore if I was one of those people she was thankful for, and she promptly told me no.

We can't win them all I suppose!

You Are More Than You Know

I just finished this book. It was a good read, and I think for the right person incredibly helpful and insightful.I personally don't feel like I live my life in fear or controlled by fear too often, occasionally yes, but not regularly.  (Maybe I'm in denial?!)  This books focused on overcoming fear with faith, which is an excellent message."At this juncture of my life I'm not convinced normal is an obtainable or even desirable goal, but embracing our God-given uniqueness is. In fact, it's an adventure that leads us to embracing that we are more than we know because the Lord is greater - far greater - than we can ever imagine." -Patsy Clairmont

Do you have allergies?

Every time someone has sneezed over the weekend, Elinore asks "do you have allergies?"

Clearly she's learned about allergy season somewhere and is concerned about others and their allergies now.

It's cute.

Goodbye Sleep Sack

Sine Ruthie was born she has been swaddled or in a sleep sack every night.  A couple months ago the sitter stopped it at nap time for her, but she continued here at home.  When she was much younger we tried to stop wearing it but it ended in tears and we didn't think it was worth the fight.  Last night she said NO! when I went to put it on her.  She didn't want to wear it and wasn't going to.  Today has been the same, my baby is growing up all on her own!
