Super!

Caleb taught Elinore how to be Super Ellie!  It first happened probably just over a month ago now.  Caleb has always loved playing dress up and getting into coustumes for play.  One evening he was wearing a cape and had gotten one our for his sister too. 

The next thing we see is Caleb and Elinore running through the house saying "Super Caleb!" and "Super Ellie!"

There have been a few reoccurences, but more often than not, Elinore just randomly starts shouting "Super Ellie! Super Ellie!"

I took a bath!

In the past couple weeks, Elinore has learned to exclaim her excitement after she finishes a bath.  She'll proudly explaim: "I TOOK A BATH!" Somteimes it is even followed by "hooray!" and clapping. 

Often if I give her a bath, she'll have to go to the family room afterwards and tell Daddy "I TOOK A BATH!" 

So exciting that bathtime is!

Prenatal Appointment

Last week I had another prenatal appointment.  It was at 26 week and 5 days.  Everything is going well still!  :)  I heard the heartbeat again at 133 bpm.  I've gained 14 pounds.  And the we're measuing right on target.

For First Instance

We're still working with Caden on his favorite phrase.  The phrase?  For first instance. 

He uses it frequently, although since we brought to his attention it has decreased a lot. 

I heard it again recently though and we keep reminding him.

I hated corecting the kids for so long because their young learning innocence was too adorable to want to squash, but the boys are 8 and second graders now, so I suppose we should focus a little more on the teaching! 

Baby Sibling

Until the last week or so Elinore has wanted a little sister, or so she says.  I'm not sure she knows what she's asking for yet, or if she just knows sister because she is a sister.  But this last week or so she's started talking about wanting a baby boy. 

The boys are still somewhat dividing with one wanting a brother and the other a sister.  Depending on the day which wants which changes though!

Movement

Early in week 26 of this pregnancy, I started to be able to see some movement from baby inside!  It's an exciting development!

Clothes on!

Keith normally doesn't sleep in much more than his boxers.  I've never thought it was that unusual and no one is the house is bothered by it, until Elinore that is. 

When Elinore gets up in the mornings Keith or I go and get her.  If it's me, she usually asks "Daddy here?"  and after a quick diaper change we'll go find him sleeping in bed.  Sometimes she'll tickle him or play or snuggle with him and sometimes she just wants breakfast.  Either way, as soon as he's getting our of bed she insists "clothes on!" 

If Keith goes to get her, sometimes he'll humor her and put shirt on first, but then she wants to know where his pants are!  More often he goes without a shirt and she insists on "clothes on!"
